The brand was founded in the 1970s and has been collecting thousands of vintage aloha shirts as reference material since its founding. In aloha shirts, where the print design is the main feature, it can be said to be "wearing art," and in order to express the vivid and deep colors that are the greatest feature of aloha shirts, SUN SURF reproduces the printing techniques of the time, such as discharge printing and overprinting.
